Undercover wonders if Green Day is about to launch another side-project. The clever little snoops at Buzznet certainly think so.
Buzznet is buzzing with news that Billie Joe Armstrong, Tre Cool and Mike Dirnt are about to release new music under the name Foxboro Hot Tubs.
In 2003, Green Day sprung their techno release 'Money Money 2020' into the world under the name The Network.
Foxboro Hot Tubs is based on 60s sounds, but the tracks 'Mother Mary' and 'Ruby Room' have a typical Billie Joe Armstrong sound to them.
Foxboro Hot Tubs also has a MySpace site, featuring three tracks, including those two and 'Stop Drop and Roll'.
You will also soon be able to download for free a 6 track EP from the band when the official website www.foxborohottubs.com launchs.
Green Day has started working on a follow-up to 'American Idiot' for a 2008 release. Foxboro Hot Tubs may be just a little treat to whet your appetite before that arrives.
